Australian Producer Chapel Shares 5 Lessons From Greek Mythology

Melbourne producer Chapel's new EP is titled 'City Lights'.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Australian producer Chapel is one of the more enigmatic artists on the Dew Process label.

Inspired by the eerie, surreal romanticism and menacing tension of David Lynch films like 'Mulholland Drive', as well as the idea of speeding along winding, back desert roads with city lights twinkling on the horizon, Chapel makes a nuanced form of EDM that traverses between pop and pulp.

With his 'City Lights' EP recently release, Chapel shares five lessons from Greek mythology.

1: Theseus and the Minotaur

If you're going to go rooting around in a labyrinth, take Ariadne's ball of yarn with you.

2: Medusa

Don't fall for Poseidon or your hair will turn into snakes.

3: Sisyphus

If you're cursed to push a boulder up a hill every day for eternity, you might as well make a day of it.

4: Hephaestus

If you're born imperfect, get to work under a volcano.

5: Oedipus

Just do nothing.

'City Lights' EP is available now.
