Tennis isn’t the only thing that will be taking over Melbourne for the Australian Open in early 2025 – a live music programme will mark the only music event to be held at a Grand Slam, worldwide.
AO Live will offer music-lovers a packed schedule of live performances across the Australian Open precinct, featuring bands, solo performers, and DJs. It’ll take place at Melbourne’s John Cain Arena, with two major evening performances leading to a festival-style grand finale on the final day.
First up is pop sensation Benson Boone, who rose to stardom with more than 1.9 billion global streams to his name. He recently made headlines at the MTV Video Music Awards, where he took home the trophy for Best Alternative Video.
Next up is world-renowned DJ and producer Kaytranada. He recently opened for The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ tour, and also performed at Coachella in 2023. He’s got two GRAMMY Awards and five nominations under his belt.
Then, there’s American DJ and producer Armand Van Helden, who is celebrated for hits like ‘My My My’ and ‘You Don’t Know Me’ featuring Duane Harden.
GRAMMY-nominated pop star Kesha boasts accolades from the likes of MTV Video Music Awards, American Music Awards, and iHeartRadio Awards to name a few. . . As well as a slew of hits like ‘Tik Tok’, ‘Timber’, ‘Die Young’, ‘Right Round’ and more.
The final day of AO Live delivers a full day of festival-style entertainment, with performances from multiple artists.
“AO Live is an evolution of the AO’s music offering and will see live music and entertainment across the whole precinct over 21 days during January, from fan-favourite performers in Garden Square to in-demand DJ's spinning anthems on Grand Slam Oval,” Australian Open Tournament Director Craig Tiley says. “AO Live has entertainment covered for all tastes and is all-inclusive on a Ground Pass ticket.”
Tickets go on sale 10 October.
