The only thing better than listening to your favourite records is listening to them through a pair of high quality, custom, personalised headphones.
Australian company Audeara has created personalised headphones with world-first technology that helps to prevent hearing loss – the Audeara A-01 feature an in-built hearing test endorsed by Australian audiologists.
They provide compensation and clarity for those in need, and a tool for education and awareness in the hope of combatting the rising incidence of noise-induced hearing loss.
Audeara CEO and co-founder, not to mention passionate music-lover, Dr James Fielding says the greatest danger from headphone use was that many people were not aware they were suffering from hearing loss because they continually turned up the volume on their devices to compensate for the hearing damage.
“Whether you appreciate it or not, your hearing is your connection to the music and the experiences you love,” Dr Fielding says.
“But we listen too loud, too often, and slowly but surely ‘it’ fades away. The sparkle stops, the voices fade into the mix, the treble knob gets a bigger tweak. It doesn’t have to be that way though.”
The world’s first full-fidelity headphone with a built-in hearing test, Audeara is revolutionising the listening experience by tailoring sound based on an individual’s hearing test result.
Created in Brisbane in 2015, Audeara develops and produces its own products that sell internationally in over 60 countries.
