L-R, top to bottom: Tim Rogers, Adalita, Phil Jamieson, Tex Perkins

For Rolling Stones fans, it doesn't get any better than this (other than the band performing live itself) with four of Australia's rock & roll legends coming together for a special tribute concert for the 50th anniversary of the band's iconic 'Sticky Fingers' album.

With an east-coast tour already featuring a number of sold-out shows, The Stones' Sticky Fingers tribute show will also arrive at 2021 Adelaide Guitar Festival.

Set to feature Magic Dirt's Adalita, Grinspoon's Phil Jamieson, The Cruel Sea/ Beast Of Bourbon's Tex Perkins and You Am I's Tim Rogers, the two-hour concert will traverse from the opening track of 'Brown Sugar' and include the classics 'Wild Horses' and 'Dead Flowers' (as well as other Rolling Stones hits).

"It is with a mixture of abject terror and completely deranged excitement that I get to go on the road with Adalita, Tex and Tim – three of the finest musicians this country has produced," Phil says.

"It's a complete honour to share the stage with them and interpret one of the greatest records of all time, 'Sticky Fingers' by The Rolling Stones.

"I'm taking a big breath out, knowing this will be insanely fun but also crazy challenging."

Adds Perkins: "I was 15 when I started listening to 'Sticky Fingers'. . . For me, it's close to a perfect album.

"Every track stands up by itself – every lick, beat and word is exactly where it needs to be. It has a feel of wild abandon followed by a darkness and beauty that is devastating."

The Stones' Sticky Fingers plays as part of Adelaide Guitar Festival at Her Majesty's Theatre 15 July.
