Aussie Pops Orchestra Goes Digital: Big Night In With John Foreman

Casey Donovan will be a guest on Big Night In With John Foreman.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

After the phenomenal success of their 'What A Wonderful World' cover last month (recorded on their phones), Aussie Pops Orchestra are back to entertain you again with a weekly, live digital show – Big Night In With John Foreman.

To be live streamed from Arts Centre Melbourne's website and featuring weekly guests, the programme aims to provide the audience with uplifting, inspiring, fun and familiar entertainment.

The show will be hosted by much-loved musical director, pianist and composer John Foreman, and will feature stars of the entertainment industry live streamed from their homes.

Guests will chat about their career highlights and favourite showbiz stories as well as performing some long-distance piano and vocal numbers. There'll also be a weekly appearance by a 'Hollywood star', and some satirical political commentary.

Big Night In then wraps up with the 60-piece Aussie Pops Orchestra joining in virtually with each week's guest for a spectacular finale.

Beloved regular on the Australian theatre and music scene Casey Donovan and Australian musical theatre performer Josh Piterman, who will dial in from London's West End where he is currently starring in 'The Phantom Of The Opera', are the first epsiode's guests.

"I'm thrilled that Arts Centre Melbourne is creating a fantastic, new, virtual platform for artists," John Foreman says.

"Obviously it's not the same as performing in the magnificent Hamer Hall or the stunning State Theatre – and our Aussie Pops Orchestra are all phoning in their parts from their homes – but the joy of performing to an audience is undiminished, and our combined commitment to bringing audiences the very best music, from many genres, is as strong as ever."

Big Night In With John Foreman will be live streamed from Arts Centre Melbourne's website every Wednesday at 7pm, starting 29 April. Click here for more information.
