At the turn of the century, Brisbane band george were one of the 'it' acts of the Australian music scene.

Fronted by Katie and Tyrone Noonan, george's 2002 debut album 'Polyserena' (it was recorded in 2001) not only landed at #1 on the ARIA charts (making them only the tenth act to have their first album debut at #1), it was nominated for six ARIA Awards (winning the Breakthrough Artist – Album award).

'Polyserena' would also spawn six Hottest 100 songs across a three-year span: 'Bastard Son', 'Spawn', 'Run', 'Release', 'Breaking It Slowly' and 'Special Ones'.

To celebrate the album's 20th anniversary, Katie and Tyrone will be joined by original bandmates Paulie B, Geoff Green and Nick Stewart for a 4-concert series at Brisbane Powerhouse (6-8 May) where they'll play 'Polyserena' in its entirety as well as other george material; you can probably expect some Katie and Tyrone solo numbers as well.
