August Burns Red

American metalcore veterans, August Burns Red are headed to Australia in 2026.

The 'White Washed' and 'Mariana's Trench' hitmakers will headline concerts in Fremantle, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane this September-October.

The run of shows will follow the release of the band's new studio album 'Season Of Surrender' on 5 June (pre-order it). The band have previewed the new LP with the singles 'Behemoth' and 'The Nameless'.

"We are so excited to headline Australia for the first time in seven years! We are bringing two of the best up and coming acts in metalcore today to make this a can't miss show," August Burns Red says.

"This tour will also be the first place in the world where we do a tour celebrating the release of our brand new record 'Season Of Surrender'. We hope to see you all soon!"

The Australian dates will see August Burns Red joined by Australian melodic hardcore act Bloom and Texas pop-screamo metalcore act I Promised The World (making their Australian live debut).

'The Nameless' boasts August Burns Red's signature complex rhythm section, alongside dark and moody guitars, with an unrelenting vocal assault.

"'The Nameless' is a hard-hitting, heavy bruiser that doesn't let up for one moment," bassist Dustin Davidson says.

"It combines classic ABR elements with dark, moody technical rhythms, and fast-paced vocals to keep the intensity up for the full three minutes of the track. To me it showcases our roots of where we've come from, and the future path of where we're heading."

Adds lead singer Jake Luhrs: "Lyrically, 'The Nameless' is a song about not wasting your life away for the sake of acceptance and comfortability.

"Sometimes it takes detaching from what you've been told, or from the beliefs you are no longer aligned with, in order to face your own weaknesses. In doing so you can break free to live a life you are proud of."

'Season Of Surrender' features guest appearances from The Devil Wears Prada's Mike Hranica, Polaris' Jamie Hails, and Make Them Suffer.

Tickets on sale from 11am (local time) on 22 April.
