Artists in Conversation: Palaver with Performers

Laneous
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Artists in Conversation is a local initiative aimed at giving audiences a taste of their favourite music, as well as insight into the musicians personal love for the art.

The Joynt will be graced by Mr Laneous, Tom Wearne (Sleepy Tea) and T.J. Quinton (Deckchairs), three of the biggest contributors to the Brisbane scene over the last decade, on Thursday May 8th. Laneous specialise in some smooth indie rythms and hip hop grooves, offering something to the chilled audience and the rockers.

Sleepy Tea offers sweet singing over a mellow atmospheric beat, making it easy to see where their name came from. T.J. Quinton is a solo indie performer whose played in Australia, NZ, the US and the UK. His deeper beats and melodies are sure to be a favourite.

With a performance aimed at involving and immersing the audience in the show as much as the performers, it's sure to be a fantastic night. Attendee's can look forward to the artists sharing their beloved songs and some hilarious stories. Some rare insight will be given into what keeps the musicians on the touring circuit, and what motivates them.

Artists in Conversation takes place at The Joynt on May 8th.
