Australian electronic dance band, Art vs Science will embark on a national ten-date tour beginning next month.
The trio of Jim Finn (vocals, keyboard), Dan McNamee (vocals, guitars, keyboard) and Dan Williams (vocals, drums) are touring in support of their third studio album, 'Big Overdrive', which was released in August.The record contains the singles 'I Saw You', 'Dance', 'Monkey' and 'Sweat'.
"Buzzing to be back on the road again for the 'Big Overdrive' tour," Art vs Science says, "coming to some places we've never been before/ haven't been in a long time.
"Pumped to play tunes off the new record and all the golden oldies. See you all there! Love Dan, Dan, and Jim."
'Check The Boombox' is the current 'Big Overdrive' album single that was recorded at a friend's house in Wilsons Creek in the Blue Mountains.
"The cost of producing this track was keeping a black and white cat fed and entertained, and lugging the gear from Bondi in a hired Goget van," confesses the trio. Lucky feline.
Art vs Science have delivered another funky music video for 'Check The Boombox' – that was directed by their old pal Sam Kristofski (Tame Impala, Pond, Broods, San Cisco) – as they lean in hard to their inner medieval selves.
"Delighted to get Sam Kristofski to weave his weird wonderful magic for the 'Check The Boombox' clip.
"Sam directed our action extravaganza clip for 'In This Together' back in 2015, where he blew all the budget on helicopters, jet skis, and mini helicopters.
"Stoked to let him blow the budget again, this time with journeying knights in the desert."
The award-winning trio known for their live performances will dig deep into their extensive back catalogue as well as strutting all the new singles onstage in a "celebration of jamming and making music which is fun, different and experimental".
