Armin Van Buuren
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

This year's Electronic Music Conference will be graced by royalty.

The European king of trance, Armin Van Buuren has just been confirmed as part of the second round of speakers for the Asia-Pacific event to be held in Sydney this December. Long recognised as one of the world's best electronic performers, the Dutchman has just been named as the 8th highest paid DJ in the world. He hosts weekly radio show A State of Trance and has the sort of international following that led to him playing 120 shows in the last 12 months.

Joining Armin Van Buuren in the second round line-up is Skrillex's manager Tim Smith, Ben Marshall, Head of Contemporary Music at The Sydney Opera House, The Founder's of Future Classic and Clark Warner of Beatport.

They join an already swoon worthy roster that includes Ferry Corsten, Tommy Trash, Richard Slatter (Twitter Music), Gary Richards (HARD events) and Matthew Adell (Beatport).

Held over three days from December 2-4, EMC is part of ARIA week, a celebration of Australian music taking place in and around Sydney in the lead-up to the annual ARIA awards.

It'll tickle the toes of any lover of electronic music.
