Sheffield's biggest musical export, Arctic Monkeys have extended their Australian visit this coming summer with outdoor concerts planned in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
Already headed down under for Falls Festival as well as appearances at Heaps Good and Lost Paradise Festival, these will be the British bands first shows in Oz since 2019.The quartet of Alex Turner, Jamie Cook, Nick O'Malley and Matt Helders have made Arctic Monkeys a household name since their inception in the early 2000s, the band having sold 25 million-plus albums while averaging a staggering 6.5 million streams per day.
The group's most recent release was the Mercury Prize and Grammy Award-nominated 2018 album 'Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino' – that landed at #1 on the ARIA album chart.
Ahead of their trip down under, Arctic Monkeys have a busy northern summer with festival appearances slated at Lowlands, Pukkelpop, Rock En Seine, Reading and Leeds, Electric Picnic, Primavera Sound and more.
Melbourne groove masters Mildlife will open proceedings in Brisbane and Melbourne, while the Sydney concert will welcome home-town heroes DMA'S as well as indie rockers The Buoys.
