Well, this is pretty great.
Arcade Fire's 'Reflektor', released yesterday in all its epic eight-minute-long glory, is easily the most danceable track in the group's catalogue. This doesn't exactly come as a surprise, since it's produced by LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy (and features a vocal cameo from Murphy's spirit animal, David Bowie), but it still marks a fairly radical re-invention for one of the biggest groups in the world. That's a little bit exciting, no?
Now the track has not one, but two videos; one a stunning black-and-white affair directed by Anton Corbjin that you can watch below and the other an interactive experience shot in Haiti by Vincent Morisset that you'll need to head over to justareflektor to enjoy (neither video cuts down the track's running time, which is appreciated).
The Reflektor LP is out on October 29 (that's just seven weeks away now); Arcade Fire will then headline the Big Day Out in January.
