April Sun Brings The Mini-Festival Vibes To Melbourne's St. Kilda Triangle

It's a bloody understatement that the people of Melbourne need more live music in their lives.

The hardest hit of Australia's capitol cities during the pandemic, the fun times are slowly returning to the Garden State and adding extra good feels to the equation is April Sun, a new series of headline concerts, mini-festivals, day parties and family programming scheduled for the St Kilda Triangle (which will be transformed into a live music venue) this autumn.

Located directly across from The Palais Theatre, April Sun will play host to a selection of Australia's best rock, pop and electronic talent with the opening night (16 April) curated by Future Classic featuring G Flip and Touch Sensitive.

However, you better not wear out your dancing shoes with the POOF DOOF DAY DOOF (17 April) ready to paint St. Kilda a rainbow with Sneaky Sound System, Electric Fields, and Jawbreakers headlining. You better 'werk out' a fierce festival look, hunny.



Old-school '90s rock lovers will think they've entered Valhalla when the quadruple bill of You Am I, Magic Dirt, Dallas Crane, The Casanovas (22 April) turn the speakers to 11 creating epic levels of feedback.

Thick As Thieves (24 April) will then harness the power of positive vibrations to bring people closer together through their shared love of all things house and techno.

Superstar K-Pop collaborators Cosmo's Midnight, alongside Brisbane pop princess Eves Karydas, will bring St Kilda to life with their pop bathed club anthems (29 April), before Australia's grime-rap heavyweight, CHILLINIT gifts Melbourne not one, but two shows (30 April, 1 May).



Local neo-soul legends and Grammy award nominees Hiatus Kaiyote will close out April Sun's 2021 programming with an evening of wondercore joined by Harvey Sutherland (live), Grievous Bodily Calm, and Kee'ahn – yeowww!

Tickets to all shows are now available. In the event of cancellation due to a change in public health directives, all tickets will be refunded.
