With a theme of 'fantasyland', Sunshine Coast's annual, family-friendly busking festival Buskers By The Lake returns in 2022 for three jam-packed days of entertainment (19-21 August).
Set to host 300-plus live performers spread across 14 stages along the picturesque Lake Kawana, Buskers By The Lake will welcome a vast array of talent from award-winning musicians to circus stunts, comedy, and teen prodigies – you may even spot a sword swallower or two.Event organisers have opened applications for performers of all ages, talents and specialities (no matter how wild, whacky or whimsical) keen to showcase their abilities – whether that's juggling watermelons, conducting dancing poodles, constructing funny-shaped balloons or anything else in between.
With the easing of COVID-related restrictions and travel once again feasible, Buskers By The Lake is open to all performers, even international guests.
Other highlights of the event include Battle Of The Buskers that will see singer-songwriters go head to head (with Tones And I being a previous winner) as well as ticketed sideshows and nightly after parties.
"We're coming back bolder and more daring in 2022 and can't wait to have our travelling performers and fans back, enjoying the festivities in our new Sunny Coast home," Event Director, Cindy Jensen says.
Applications to perform at 2022 Buskers By The Lake close 30 June. More information.
