Australian Women In Music Awards is calling on all First Nations women, female and gender diverse artists and music practitioners in regional and remote Queensland.
Expressions of interest are now open, for the AWMA 2025 Regional And Remote Women’s Music Program. Supported by the Queensland Government, it offers an unparalleled opportunity for eight aspiring music industry practitioners to gain professional experience, and participate in a two-day event.
Those eligible must be available to attend the event, which includes forums and in-conversation discussions, networking opportunities, a Black Carpet, Awards Ceremony and Concert, and an after party.
“The opportunity to bring together a diverse group of women from across Queensland demonstrates our commitment to making the music industry more accessible for female artists, musicians and music practitioners who often find it difficult to participate in an event of the calibre of AWMA,” AWMA Founding Executive Producer and Program Director Vicki Gordon said of last year’s program.
Successful delegates of the AWMA Queensland Regional And Remote Music Program are provided with travel, accommodation and per diems for the entire event.
Applications for the AWMA 2025 Regional And Remote Women’s Music Program close on 4 August.
The AWMA 2025 Regional And Remote Women’s Music Program is on from 8-9 October.
