Anthony Albanese Drops His Hottest 100 for 2023

Founder and Publisher. Based in Brisbane.
Howard started Scene Magazine in 1993. Paul Keating was Prime Minister. Whitney, Janet and Mariah all had Aussie #1s and Mark Zuckerberg was 9. Over 30 years he's overseen the growth of scenestr magazine to become Australia's largest – and only national – street press while forging a digital-first imperative for the title in the mid-naughties. He's judged more battle of the bands than he cares to remember and proud of the myriad media partnerships the company has earned across the music, arts and comedy sectors. He likes Star Trek and a good Oxford Comma – way too much fun at parties.

The Australian PM has shared his top picks for this year's Hottest 100.

DJ Albo, who doesn't mind getting jiggy with it – anywhere really – has again taken to social media to display his tastemaking chops.

The Hottest 100 is triple j's annual poll of listeners' favourite songs of the year. In what has been coined as the 'World's Biggest Music Democracy' (as long as you don't punt for, say, Taylor Swift – in which case the democaracy police get involved) hundreds of thousands of listeners (and non-listeners) exercise their democratic right.

Voting is open now at triple j. The winners swill be revealed on-air:
triple j's Hottest 100 countdown - 12pm, Saturday 27 January
triple j's Hottest 200 countdown - 10am, Sunday 28 January
Double J's Hottest 100 of 2003 -10am,  Saturday 3 February
