After a year off, Anthems Festival returns to Canberra (under new management - Unbreakable Touring) in 2020 with ARIA Hall of Famers Icehouse headlining alongside The Temper Trap.
With 28 Platinum albums, eight Top 10 albums and over thirty Top 40 singles, Icehouse are bona fide Australian music royalty. "It's been a while since we played in Canberra and the band and I are excited to be headlining the Anthems Festival in 2020 and bringing the show to our fans in the ACT," singer Iva Davies says.Having clocked up 150 million streams on Spotify, The Temper Trap are household names in their own right and are fresh off playing a national tour celebrating the tenth anniversary of their debut album 'Conditions', which the band will perform in full at Anthems.
After an extended hiatus, Western Australian rockers Eskimo Joe have returned to the live circuit in 2019 and will continue their run of festival dates with an appearance at Anthems in 2020.
Also part the 2020 line-up will be The Rogue Traders with actress and singer Natalie Bassingthwaighte returning with her sultry vocals as their frontwoman. The 'Voodoo Child' act are teasing new material and Anthems will be the group's first onstage performance since they reunited in 2017.
Rounding out the line-up are 'Accidentally Kelly Street' legends Frente and independent recording artist, Mark Wilkinson who has performed with the likes of Brian Wilson, Chicago, Peter Frampton and Kings Of Leon.
"Unbreakable Touring has recently taken over the Anthems brand and are thrilled to bring these iconic Australian legends to the people of Canberra on one main stage," Kristie Spillane, Director of Unbreakable Touring, says.
"We look forward to building this festival for years to come and ensure we offer the ultimate experience to our patrons."
