Instrumental progressive metal-rock trio, Animals As Leaders return to Australia this April.
The band, comprised of original member and acclaimed lead guitarist Tosin Abasi, classically trained guitarist Javier Reyes and Berklee-educated drummer Matt Garstka, will headline concerts in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane."We're excited to announce our return to Australia for the Parrhesia 2023 tour," shares the Washington DC band, who attract fans as varied as metalheads, aspiring virtuosos, jazz fanatics, and casual listeners.
With a sonic palette featuring 'eight-string guitars, rich synths, and pummelling percussive grooves', Animals As Leaders focus on mood, texture, and emotive power to elevate the listener's experience.
Animals As Leaders have released five albums, beginning with their 2009 self-titled debut up to their latest, 2022's 'Parrhesia' (which includes the single 'Monomyth').
Diehard fans can expect all the hits as well: 'Physical Education', 'The Joy Of Motion', 'Cafo', 'The Brain Dance', and 'Ectogenesis'.
