Angie McMahon 2023 Australia Tour

Angie McMahon will release her new album 'Light, Dark, Light Again' on 27 October, 2023.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

With her next studio album incoming, Naarm/ Melbourne-based singer-songwriter and musician Angie McMahon will headline two special theatre shows.

The multiple ARIA nominee will headline concerts in Sydney and Melbourne.

'Light, Dark, Light Again' is McMahon's sophomore record, that's slated for release 27 October, and the follow-up to her 2019 debut album 'Salt' – which won the AIR Award for Best Independent Rock Album.

The new album was co-produced by Grammy-nominated producer-songwriter Brad Cook (Bon Iver, Waxahatchee, Kevin Morby); the first two singles are 'Saturn Returning' (released last month) and the newbie out today, 'Letting Go'.

"There's a lot of love poured into it and a lot of beautiful people involved," shares Angie discussing 'Light, Dark, Light Again'.

"I've made lots of songs, mistakes, friends and stories, and I'm so grateful to get to share this!

"If you've reached out to say that you connected with the last songs then I want to say thank you big time, because your encouragement made me feel strong enough to make another album.

"I hope this becomes a record that someone turns to for comfort, for loving reminders and a safe place to land.

"I am so grateful for the kind words that people have sent my way after 'Salt' and I'm done my best to pour all that good energy back into the music again."

Tickets on sale from 12pm (local time) on 19 July.
