Spanish thrash metallers, Angelus Apatrida are headed to Australia next month.
Their second time down under, the quartet of Guillermo Inquired, David G. Alvarez, Jose Izquierdo and Victor Valera will headline concerts in Perth, Melbourne, Canberra, Wagga Wagga, Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane and Gold Coast as well as headlining Adelaide's Churches Of Steel VII music festival."Hey! What an amazing year 2023 has been," shares Angelus Apatrida, who last year released their newest studio album 'Aftermath' – the follow-up to their 2021 self-titled record.
"Looking forward to 2024 with more tours and incredible plans; thanks to all of you all over the world for your love and support. Happy new year, may it be full of good vibes, peace and love!"
South Australian pub thrashers Hidden Intent will join the tour as main support after a massive 2023 that saw them release a vinyl of their cult anthem 'Addicted To Thrash'.
Active since the early 2010s, last year also saw Hidden Intent grace the stages at heavy metal holy land Wacken Open Air and UK's Bloodstock, before signing off the year with a run of support slots with Brazilian metal legends Sepultura on their Australian tour.
"Eyyy legends! A little reminder to not forget about our Spanish mates Angelus Apatrida touring Oz in February with us drongos," Hidden Intent says. "They absolutely rip live, one of the tightest bands you'll ever see – heavy, melodic thrash."
