Riding the coattails of her 2019 album, 'All Mirrors', the jewel of self-conviction, Angel Olsen will return to Australia for a string of performances with her six-piece band this winter.
For the first time since 2017, Angel will be back in Australia and performing tracks that span her entire career. Angel will also rework a number of songs to include string arrangements.Ranked fourth in Pitchfork's top 50 albums of 2019, 'All Mirrors' is equally furious as it is playful. The 12-track album ebbs and flows, diving deep to explore the full scope of heartbreak and healing.
Over the years, Angel's music has gone through a metamorphosis – starting out in the realms of folk and eventually evolving into the cinematic pop, complete with swirling strings and synths, that we hear today.
Regardless of her sonic progression, Angel's lyrics have always been underpinned by a steadfast commitment to self-actualisation. This notion of unwavering vulnerability has made Angel a welcome purveyor for wearied souls.
Starting off in Brisbane, Angel will go on to chime out her mantras in Melbourne, Castlemaine and Perth, before finishing up the tour in Adelaide. A Sydney show is to be announced.
General tickets go on sale from 10am EDT on 12 March. Click here for more information.
