Dark folk troubadour, American singer-songwriter Amigo The Devil returns to Australia in 2025.
Only a year removed from his February 2024 debut tour down under, Amigo The Devil brings his mix of American folk, country rock and metal influences for a 10-date run of shows (a mix of solo and full band performances) this August.The band concerts will traverse Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, with solo gigs in Sunshine Coast, Perth, Darwin, Hobart and Launceston. "Australia! My loves, we're heading back to you with the full band this time as well as some extra solo shows thrown in the mix.
"I don't know how we'll top the last tour but you seem to make the impossible happen every time."
Amigo The Devil, aka Danny Kiranos, has cultivated a dedicated fellowship of fans through his artistry and songwriting, releasing four albums, his most recent being 2024's 'Yours Until The War Is Over' (that features 'Cannibal Within', 'Once Upon A Time At Texaco Pt. 1' and 'I'm Going To Heaven'.
His stories, from the tragic to the comedic, harken back to a more brutal state of songwriting. While his songs are greatly influenced by the honesty of Leonard Cohen, the creativity of Tom Waits and the ruthlessness of Chavela Vargas.
The Australian tour will see the debut of a handful of new tunes as well as a recounting of the old from a catalogue that includes such songs as 'Hell And You', 'Another Man's Grave', 'Hungover In Jonestown', 'Murder At The Bingo Hall', 'Perfect Wife', and 'Dahmer Does Hollywood'.
