"To celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the album that changed our lives, we are thrilled to announce these extra gigs in Australia where we will play 'An Awesome Wave' in full.
"We know how much this record means to our Aussie fans and can't wait to turn back the clock to 2012 with them in our favourite country."
Scroll down for the new dates; tickets on sale from 1 August.
On the eve of their fourth studio album ('The Dream') being released, English indie art rockers alt-J will return down under this spring.
The trio of Joe Newman, Thom Green and Gus Unger-Hamilton will headline concerts in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth."We are bringing 'The Dream' down under. It's been too long since we visited beautiful Australia and New Zealand. See you there in September 2022. Let's have it," declares the 2012 Mercury Prize-winning band.
Five years removed from their previous album ('Relaxer'), the Grammy-nominated group have released four singles from 'The Dream': 'Hard Drive Gold', 'Get Better', 'U&ME' and 'The Actor', which was released this week.
"We wanted to give you one more track before our album, 'The Dream', is released this Friday. 'The Actor' is kind of like an alternative re-telling of John Belushi's death, or the events leading up to it."
General tickets on sale from noon (local time) 18 February. More information.
