Alex G

Lo-fi DIY singer-songwriter Alex G extends his 2026 Australia visit.

Already set to perform at Laneway Festival in February, the 'Treehouse', 'Mary' and 'Sarah' underground genius has added headline concerts in Sydney and Melbourne.

Earlier this year, Alex G released his tenth studio album (and major label debut, RCA Records). Titled 'Headlights', it features the singles 'Afterlife', 'June Guitar' and 'Oranges', and was co-produced by Alex and Unknown Mortal Orchestra bass guitarist Jacob Portrait.

With comparisons to songwriting legends like Elliott Smith and Neil Young, Alex G has collaborated with artists including Frank Ocean and Halsey as well as scoring the film soundtracks to Jane Schoenbrun's movies 'We're All Going To The World's Fair' and 'I Saw The TV Glow'.

Born Alex Giannascoli, Alex G began releasing music from his bedroom in Pennsylvania, quickly building a devoted following online through Bandcamp with his lo-fi, intimate recordings.

His early work led to a deal with Domino Records and a string of critically acclaimed albums including 'Beach Music', 'Rocket', 'House Of Sugar' and 'God Save The Animals'.

Joining Alex G for both headline shows will be special guest Esha Tewari ('Beautiful Boy', 'You Were Mine'), who recently toured North America.

"Ummm, hello. I'm opening for Alex G next year in Feb. Ummm what; hello, I'm so excited about this and this is so cool. Alex G is freaking awesome and we arer gonna be playing the same show… 🐕🐕🐕!"

Since emerging onto the scene, Esha has built a reputation for her captivating live performances and ability to connect deeply with her audiences, quickly establishing herself as one of the most exciting young artists in Australia's new wave of pop storytellers.

Tickets on sale from 12pm (local time) on 10 October.
