'Rain' and 'UFO' hitmaker, UK rapper Aitch is headed back to Australia this summer.
Last down under for 2023 Spilt Milk, which was preceded by a sold-out tour in 2022 and appearance at Splendour In The Grass, Aitch will headline concerts in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane in January.Last month, Aitch released his sophomore album '4' that features 'Till L4te feat. Pozer', 'Bounce' and 'Luv? feat. Anne-Marie'. "I'm in this season of reminding people why I'm here in the first place and why I'm in the position I'm in," Aitch, aka Harrison Armstrong says.
The first Mancunian to win Best Hip Hop, Grime and Rap Act at the BRIT Awards (in 2023), on his 25th birthday in December, the fourth arc of his career as he called it, Aitch's sophomore album '4' was conceived.
"I got that itch again, I started to feel like 'okay, yeah, let's do this'. Four has always been a thing from earlier because my postcode is M40," he begins. "This will also be my fourth body of work in my book. That's 'H20', 'Polaris', 'Close To Home', and now '4'.
"It all just makes sense, I want to give people a piece of where I really come from, a bit of me and where I’m at."
Aitch is also intent on serving up some joy amidst all the darkness currently circling the globe. "I just wanna see people smile," he says. "I don't see enough of that and it genuinely makes me sad, I want to see that joy again."
Tickets on sale from 12pm (local time) on 22 July.
