Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Great Barrier Reef in the heart of the Whitsundays, the Airlie Beach Festival of Music (ABFoM) is back for its ninth instalment in 2021 (5-7 November), with The Angels and Rogue Traders set to headline.

"We're over the moon to be playing some shows again and can't wait to strap on the guitars and rock out with the crowd at Airlie Beach," enthuses The Angels about their appearances at ABFoM.

Fronted by Natalie Bassingthwaighte, pop-rock band Rogue Traders have been topping the charts for two decades with more than one million albums sold worldwide.

Joining these two iconic acts are twins Jack and Patrick Pierce aka the Pierce Brothers whose current single is 'Brother' – from their recently released album 'Into The Great Unknown'. The indie folk duo have supported the likes of Tash Sultana and Tones And I.

New Zealand's veteran new-wave band Mi-Sex will also take to the stage, showcasing why they supported The Ramones and Iggy Pop during their heyday of the late '70s and early '80s.

Other artists added to the bill are Rav Thomas, Lloyd Spiegel, Bill Chambers and Matt Angell. "After a year away, we couldn't be more excited to return to what is like a second home for us for the ABFoM," Rav Thomas says.

"If anywhere knows how to party it's Airlie, and we'll be making up for lost time."

More artists will be added to the line-up including the Passport to Airlie winners.

2021 Airlie Beach Festival of Music takes place 5-7 November. Tickets on sale.
