After A 9-Year Gap, Bright Eyes Release A Second Single Inside A Month

Bright Eyes release a second single from a forthcoming album.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

After last month's return from a nine-year hiatus, Bright Eyes have released a second song from their forthcoming new album. Cue the oooohs!

The band who premiered new single 'Persona Non Grata' in March, have today released 'Forced Convalescence', which finds Conor Oberst at his world-weary best as he picks apart the human condition while struggling to reconcile the past with whatever the future holds – all from the comfort of his bed.

The band had announced a string of US dates (which quickly sold-out) that will be rearranged due to COVID-19. Hopefully, Australian dates are part of the plan moving into 2021.
