Adele has (somewhat cryptically) announced her third studio album on Twitter.
The superstar Brit has hinted that the record will be called '25', sticking to the formula of her debut and sophomore outings ('19' and the stratospherically successful '21'). The number represents the age at which she wrote the songs, which kind of makes each of the albums period pieces, in a way.
Adele turned 26 on Monday, and teased the upcoming album with this tweet.
Bye bye 25... See you again later in the year x pic.twitter.com/HEmY14El5s

'21' was the biggest selling album of both 2011 and 2012. It won six Grammys and became the first album to go double platinum on iTunes in the US. It's basically the closest thing this generation has to 'Thriller'. So, you know. No pressure or anything, Adele. No pressure at all.
