Adele Sells One Million Albums In Australia

Adele
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Adele has sold one million copies of her sophomore album 21 in Australia.

The feat makes her the first artist to do so since Delta Goodrem in 2003 (and just the 13th in history, after John Farnham, Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd, Queen, Abba, Alanis Morissette, Shania Twain, Dire Straits, Meatloaf and the cast of Grease).

The milestone comes just days before the second anniversary of 21's release (the record has sold 26 million copies worldwide), and days after Adele picked up a Golden Globe for her Skyfall theme.

How do you feel about this, Taylor Swift?
