Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival will take up residence at its new home, The Drive In Adelaide, this July.

The full-scale line-up is here, featuring music, food and brews aplenty to mark the new chapter. It’s a brand-new festival, with the same great taste.

Leading the music programme are genre-blurring Australian boundary-pushers, TISM, alongside American singer-songwriter Ben Kweller, art-rock force Tropical Fuck Storm, and Sydney hardcore heavyweights, SPEED.

Also ready to go are Sydney indie icons Ratcat, the recent Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Tim Rogers, ‘90s alt-pop favourites The Mavis’s, and Australia’s own Kirin J Callinan. Joining them will be noise rock duo Party Dozen, The Loud Hailers, and plenty more South Australian talent.

But as usual, there’s not just music at Beer & BBQ Festival.

There’ll be three sessions of food and drink across the weekend, with the food line-up featuring heroes of fire cooking flavours from the USA and across the globe. Featuring low and slow heavy hitters Big Box BBQ (ACT) and Sydney’s Carolina Smoke (NSW via North Carolina), bringing the thirst-trapping Pork Belly Lollipop back to Adelaide. Food-lovers can expect fired flavours from Jamaica, Thailand, Indonesia, Brazil and more.

Drinks will be aplenty too. A curated mix of Australia’s leading brewers will sit alongside a growing range of ‘not beer’. . . Including wine, gin, and other brewed beverages. Punters are encouraged to keep their eyes open for surprises around every corner. Remember the Secret Pickle and Dumpster Saloon, plus new collaboration experiences like adult putt-putt.

“We can’t wait to see what this little independent festival can look and taste like in its new home. Not only is it more accessible from the city, it allows us more space to be creative and build the festival we want to present now,” Beer & BBQ Festival Founders Gareth Lewis and Aaron Sandow say.

“Beer & BBQ Festival has always been about supporting the brewers, the chefs and the artists and they need support more than ever, this grown-up festival in the heart of the city means they can put their beers in the hands of more punters than ever before. And now we have a big shiny stage to play with!”

Tickets on sale 9 April.
