A Privileged White Man Is Outraged Rage Against The Machine Is A Political Band

Tom Morello takes no BS from Scott from Michigan

Straight from the School of Homer Simpson comes today's laugh-out-loud moment from the Internet.

A privileged white man from Michigan, US – let's call him Karen's uncle Scott – has tweeted at Tom Morello that he was a fan of Rage Against The Music until hearing Morello's political opinions (in the wake of the current Black Lives Matter protests).

"Music is my sanctuary," moans Scott, "and the last thing I want to hear is political bs when I'm listening to my music. As far as I'm concerned you and Pink are completely done."

Obviously Scott has never read the lyrics to 'Killing In The Name', 'Take The Power Back', 'Township Rebellion' or 'Know Your Enemy'. But no doubt Scott thought he'd given Tom a 'sick burn', until The Nightwatchman returned serve.

"Scott!! What music of mine were you a fan of that DIDN'T contain 'political BS'? I need to know so I can delete it from the catalog."

Really, Scott should've known better. Tom Morello's Twitter bio reads: 'Feed the poor. Fight the power. Rock the f... out.' Or maybe Tom's 40-year career as a musician, actor and political activist should've alerted old mate to reality.
