Atienne Bakker is an up-and-coming guitarist drawing his influences from a wide scope of traditional and contemporary jazz artists.
For his debut performance at the
Brisbane Jazz Club tomorrow (Thurs 26 March), Atienne will draw together some of Brisbane’s finest musicians to present a hard swinging night, featuring compositions of artists such as Wes Montgomery, George Benson, John Scofield and more!
But before he does, Atienne needs to eat his Weet-Bix... here are five ways he consumes the iconic, Aussie breakfast.
1. Weet-Bix with honey
For your basic Weet-Bix meal, cover Weet-Bix with honey, then add milk.
2. Weet-Bix smoothie
Put the Weet-Bix and milk into a blender, blend. Additionally add banana and/ or berries and/ or an egg before blending.
3. The Weet-Bix boiling water/ raw sugar method
Barely making the list but a classic nonetheless. Pour boiling water over Weet-Bix and let sink, then add milk, followed by raw sugar. This leads to a porridge-like mixture, not dissimilar to baby food.
4. Weet-Bix-Vegemite combo
Your all-time Aussie snack; spread Vegemite on Weet-Bix, then consume (try adding butter or cheese for extra flavour).
5. Model girlfriend-yacht combo
Eating any of the above while walking across your private beach with your model girlfriend next to your expensive yacht.
Atienne Bakker plays the Brisbane Jazz Club's Thrilling Thursdays on 26 March.
