5 Things You Can Do At 2018 Jungle Love Festival

2018 Jungle Love Festival (Sunshine Coast) takes place 29 November-1 December.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

In 2018 Jungle Love Festival will have a 'grander site' in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, and they have revealed POND and Opiuo as headliners of the 2018 line-up.

Also playing are Baskervillain, Demon Days, Kenta Hayashi, China Bowls and a heap more 29 November-1 December. But music isn't the only attraction of this SE QLD event.

1: Start your day right with Meg’s water aerobics

Morning rises at festivals are always rough. You wake up in the heat of your tent, sweating all your drinks from the night before, stumbling into another day onsite... But what then!?

At Jungle Love, we have you covered. Kicking off as the creek bathes in the morning sun, Meg’s water aerobics class is ready to prepare you for another 24 hours of good times.

Wash off your hangover, warm up your joints and excite your mind as our charismatic leader and her scantily clad assistants take you through your most refreshing workout yet.

For those less partial to diving right in, we’ve got yoga classes on land all morning to give you an easier transition into the Jungle Love groove.

2: Live the fantasy with Dungeons and Dragons Immersive Theatre

From the team that gave you Cluedo Immersive Theatre, the Brisbane Immersive Ensemble is setting up at Jungle Love to take you on the adventure of a lifetime.

Jump into character and write your story as you take on quests from costumed NPCs that lead you through the site to secret easter eggs and menacing combatants.

Need a break from the action? Take a load off over a pint and a book at our onsite tavern and library, especially built with the weary traveller in mind.

3: Meet me in the waterhole

When’s the last time you sunk tinnies in the river with music blaring in the background, while trying to fit yourself and four of your mates on a rainbow peacock floatie?

Like any animal kingdom, Jungle Love’s Yabba River will become your waterhole; a sacred meeting place for all you wild animals.

Whether you bring a crocodile, hippo or zebra floatie, this year’s line-up will provide you with a one-of-a-kind soundtrack to accompany you as you float down the river and soak up nature’s untamed beauty.

4: Looking for a new addition to your summer playlist

Headlined by WA psych rockers POND, along with international act Mad Professor, and local bands First Beige, Baskervillan and Gabriella Cohen, there’s bound to be something everyone can groove along to.

Making your way through the festival grounds, you’ll find yourself inevitably dancing along to artists you don’t know and tunes you’ve never heard of, but that’s the beauty of Jungle Love. The sweet sounds of new discoveries; another song to add to your playlist.

5: Dance until you drop at Kunst Klub

Need to keep kicking after the main stage wraps up? Made a new friend or two who you’re not ready to say goodnight to?

Never fear, the Kunst Klub is returning to Jungle Love. Our custom built shipping container nightclub has been a consistent favourite over the years, and this year it’s returning on an unprecedented scale.

With pumping DJs, tantalising light shows, a new outdoor chill area and the Kunst team to guide you through your kick-ons, the club is an experience that can’t be missed this year at Jungle Love. But beware of the rising sun outside the door.
