Tasmanian electronic duo Sumner are super excited to share their debut EP, 'All That I Am', with the world.
With supports slots already alongside Vera Blue, The Smith Street Band and Montaigne as well as playing the recent Party In The Paddock festival, Sumner aka Chloe and Jack share 5 things they can't live without.
1. Erykah Badu's hats
Seriously, we live for that sh*t. No one could rock a hat like Erykah does. Anyone else trying to pull off her look is just going to look like a child dressing up in their Dad’s hats. Badu.2. The Splendid Gin
We can’t live without a good G&T. The Splendid is a gin company based in Tassie that distills the best gin we’ve had the pleasure to smash.3. Ableton
All of our music production and performance revolves around Ableton. It’s slick, it enables fluid translation from your ideas to a fully formed composition. Make some loops with your friends some time, it’ll change your life.4. Books
Books are seriously underrated. We find reading really beneficial for songwriting, it’s a good way to broaden your imagination and vocabulary. Some of our favourite books are: (Jack) 'Moth Smoke' by Mohsin Hamid; 'How Music Works' by David Byrne; (Chloe) 'To Kill A Mockingbird' by Harper Lee; 'The Consolations Of Philosophy' by Alain de Botton.
5. Water
Water is of major importance to all living organisms. Water makes up to 60 per cent of the adult body. We are both sweaty people, so we need to drink extra water to compensate. Literally couldn’t live without it x'All That I Am' is available now.
