Seattic is a new, '80s-inspired synth-pop project by Adrian Osman from Brisbane outfit Tourism.
Leaving his rock roots behind, seven years later Adrian has crafted a new-fusion pop sound that can only be described as Seattic. It takes the best influences from the '80s (with less cheese on top) and blends it with a new wave-style synth-pop.
Produced by Konstantin Kersting (The Jungle Giants, WAAX), Adrian's upcoming album 'Retrospeculation' will be released late 2018, with lead single 'Hey Girl' out now.
Adrian shares 5 things to make a good gig great.
1. Being loud.
Most people don't realise that when they are underwhelmed at a gig, it's nearly always because of volume. Headline acts should be super f#$%ing loud. People who don't like it can wear ear plugs.
2. Zero dickheads.
We've all (unfortunately) met that guy who stinks like some kind of pungent off-milk. He never seems to understand that he's constantly stepping on your feet and elbowing you in the ribs with his extravagant 'dancing'. With that said, never stop dancing. We love dancing.
3. Killer lighting.
This needs no explanation. Visual + epic music = orgasm.
4. Stop saving your singles for the encore.
Come on… you can't leave your biggest songs out of your set to increase odds of an encore. Just play it.
5. Easy access to beer.
One day drones will deliver them to us in the crowd. Until then, it's always nice to be able to re-stock mid show.
'Hey Girl' is available now.
Seattic plays Black Bear Lodge (Brisbane) 17 May and The Toff In Town (Melbourne) 31 May.
