Passport? Packed. Resort wear? Ready. It's time to plan the trip of a lifetime as Dream Machine heads overseas for a 2023 destination music festival event.
The festival – featuring performances from Girl Talk, Client Liaison, San Cisco, Boy & Bear, 1300, Spacey Jane, Very Blue and many more – will take place 8-12 June and sprawl across eight beachfront resorts in east coast Bali's Nusa Dua – a tropical haven featuring stunning shores and a feast for the senses.Those who attended Dream Machine's 2022 Whitsundays debut will know that Dream Machine is an intimate holiday escape, whether it be in the pool or the ocean during the day, a beach club party in the afternoon, or at the main Island arena at night.
As they pack their bags, having freshly released their new album 'Boy & Bear' last week ("I'm fascinated by the fragility of our own minds but also by what we're capable of. . . there's love songs, there's songs of struggle and there's songs of celebration," shares Dave Hosking), here Dave shares five things he and the band can't wait to indulge in when they arrive in Bali.
1: The line up
In amongst playing our own show we're looking forward to seeing many of the bands on the bill. Spacey Jane, Holy Holy and Vera Blue just to name a few.2: The tropical setting
Bali is a beautiful place and being able to play a show in this exotic location should be a lot of fun.3: Squeezing in a little holiday
When in Rome I say! We've managed to get some time off whilst we are in Bali, which should be a nice opportunity to see some of the sites and enjoy all of what this beautiful island has to offer.
4: Playing our first DJ set
Traditionally we are not a big DJ set sort of band, but being able to curate our own set list should be a lot of fun and it is something we are looking forward to.5: Maybe hiring a scooter
