5 Songs Sigrid Can't Wait To Hear At Sydney City Limits

Sigrid
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Ever since she released 'Don't Kill My Vibe' last year, Norwegian singer Sigrid has been on a steep, upward trajectory that sees her land in Australia this week for Sydney City Limits and a couple of side shows (Melbourne and Brisbane).

Sigrid's burgeoning career has also seen her recently record a cover of Leonard Cohen's 'Everyboody Knows' for the 'Justice League' soundtrack as well as contribute to 'The Sims 4: Parenthood' soundtrack. Just last month she won the BBC Music Sound of 2018 award.

Ahead of her appearance at Sydney City Limits, Sigrid shares 5 songs she can't wait to hear at the festival on Saturday.

1. Oh Wonder – 'Ultralife'

Yes! We supported Oh Wonder on their European tour; we got so excited when we found out we were both playing Sydney City Limits! Woohoo.

2. Thundercat - 'Them Changes'

Smooth.

3. Beck - 'Dear Life'

I listen to this all the time in the car back home. That piano is cool as are the “ah ah ah ah ahs” in the chorus.

4. Phoenix - 'Lisztomania'

Aaaaah. Junior high school in one song.

5. Justice - 'D.A.N.C.E.'

I remember this was our warm-up song in my jazz class, so maybe I’ll do some stretching and spinning in the crowd. Watch out.
