Since releasing her self-produced EP 'Lost In Thought' in 2016, emerging Swiss indie soul-pop musician Veronica Fusaro has steadily built her career with showcases at international conferences such as Musexpo in Los Angeles, ILMC in London and Reeperbahn Festival Hamburg.
With her second EP, 'Ice Cold', released in February this year, Veronica has recently unleashed her newest single, 'Venom', ahead of her appearance next week at Australian Music Week in Sydney.
With a couple of appearances also scheduled for Melbourne in November, Veronica shares 5 songs that boost her self-confidence. Turn the dial to 11 kids.
"My new single 'Venom' is all about self-confidence; contrasting fragility with the strength that comes from taking a stand and demanding better of and for yourself," Veronica says.
"With that in mind, I thought I'd share five songs that give me a venom-like injection of self-confidence."
Sigrid - 'Don't Kill My Vibe'
The chorus gets me every time on this one - I HAVE to scream along to it and it immediately makes me feel so much better.
Anderson .Paak - 'Come Down'
Anderson .Paak always makes me feel like I'm way cooler than I actually am. Love that tune.
Michael Jackson - 'Bad'
No words needed on this one, right? 'Bad' gets me dancing like nobody's watching.
Ryan Beatty - 'Hair'
A rather mellow one, which I discovered just recently and immediately fell in love with. This tune makes me feel the lightness of finally being able to leave something behind, painting the skies in the prettiest colours I can imagine.
Cardi B - 'Bodak Yellow'
I couldn't feel more bad-ass listening to a song – it's my ultimate confidence boost.
Veronica Fusaro performs at Australian Music Week (Sydney) 7 November, The Toff In Town (Melbourne) 14 November and Sofar Sounds (Melbourne) 18 November.
