Why Alex (Lurch & Chief) Wants His B'day At A Skating Rink

Melbourne indie-rock six-piece, Lurch & Chief, return with their new single, ‘Keep It Together’.

The lads will be hiring a tour van for a run of east coast dates this November. Before that, band member Alex Trevisan tells us why he wants to have his 25th birthday at a roller skating park. Serious.

1. So I could rip it old-school and reminisce to some Jennifer Page ‘Crush' while trying to figure out which end of the rink is starboard to win a Milky Way.

2. Brendan, Hayden and Josh in the band have never rollerbladed! Seeing this in the flesh would provide enough comic material to make their lives a little unpleasant for the summer months of touring.

3. Limbo. How low can this guy still get...

Rollerblade-Limbo

4. Hot dogs. Recently at the baseball in Japan I ate three hot dogs, which were pretty gross in one sitting. Roller skating rink hot dogs were the pinnacle, so I think I could top this and hit around six if we gave it a shot.

5. Shiny disco ball. 180 spin, backwards roll, while looking over the shoulder — got to love it, got to live it.
