Award-winning pop-country songstress Hayley Jensen is prepping her live show ahead of appearing at the 2022 Tamworth Country Music Festival next month.
Last year, Jensen released her third solo album titled 'Breakin' Hearts' that saw singer-songwriter achieve her best ever chart results with the record landing at #1 on the Australian Country Album chart and #4 on the Australian Album chart."There’s nothing like the power of live music – it's pure magic. Time and time again, I've witnessed it connect an audience on a cellular level," Hayley says.
"It can transport you out of your current circumstances and state of mind to experience life in an entirely unexpected and new way."
With her current single 'Better Than That' recently landing at #5 on KIX Hottest 20, here Hayley shares five top-notch reasons to to head to Tamworth to experience the Country Music Festival.
1: No better time to tick TCMF off the bucket list than the 50 Year anniversary of the festival.
If going to TCMF has been on your bucket list for years and years, and you've been forever putting it off until 'next time', THIS is the PERFECT time to tick it off. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the festival, and the who's who of country music will ALL be there to celebrate the incredible milestone.
As a side note, the weather in April will be SO much more enjoyable than the stinking hot, 40-plus degree days we usually experience in January – perfect weather for camping.
2: The amazing energy and free entertainment, including concerts in Toyota Park every night.
The streets of Tamworth are buzzing with buskers and cute market stalls, and you can catch a vast array of artists performing on the Fanzone Stage in the middle of town – all for free.
As soon as the sun begins to set, everyone across the festival grounds come together for a massive concert in Toyota Park where there's a different star-studded line up each night - for FREE! I'll be performing there on Saturday 23 April from 7pm as part of KIX Live in the Park.
3: Experience the glitz and glamour of the red carpet and attend the famous Golden Guitar Awards.
See your favourite country music stars up close on the red carpet and get dressed up to attend our night of nights – the Golden Guitar Awards.
This year, the Awards will be held on Wednesday 20 April at TREC and it's guaranteed to be an incredible night of entertainment. Plus, I'm very excited to be nominated for my first ever Golden Guitar Award for Female Artist Of The Year, so book your tickets to attend the awards and come cheer me on.
4: Support the live music industry to get back on its feet and an Aussie rural community that's been doing it tough.
You don't have to be a mad country music fan to fall in love with the Festival and the town that hosts it. Tamworth is a pilgrimage destination for ALL great music lovers, no matter what your taste in tunes. I promise you'll find something that you enjoy.
Plus, it's a really tangible way to get behind our industry, as well as a gorgeous little Aussie country town – both who've been doing it tough over the past few years.
5: Come to my show. Or ANY show. There are so many to choose from.
This year, I'll be doing a double headline show with my gorgeous friend Christie Lamb at West Diggers Showroom on Thursday 21 April at 4:30pm – love to see you there. Literally hundreds of artists descend on the town for this incredible week of live music, and every single venue has a full line-up of incredible entertainment for you to enjoy.
Hayley Jensen plays West Diggers Club 21 April and Bicentennial Park 23 April as part of 2022 Tamworth Country Music Festival which runs 18-24 April.
