5 People (Dead Or Alive) Paris Irwin Would Like To Have Dinner With

Brisbane indie pop singer-songwriter, Paris Irwin's newest single is titled 'Dark Tourist'.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

With more than 300k streams of her music to date, 22-year-old Brisbane singer-songwriter Paris Irwin's next musical chapter is titled 'Dark Tourist'.

A song about a teenage witch trying to to fit into a modern world by hiding her powers, 'Dark Tourist' was produced by Feki.

"The song's concept holds a few different meanings, however the primary tale narrates a story about a teenage witch growing up in a modern world," Paris says, who has been composing music since she was just three years old.

"She is forced to keep her powers a secret from her significant other, knowing deep down she'll have to keep torturing herself with silence as he will undoubtedly think she's lost the plot, and everyone will think she's clinically insane."

Adds Feki: "Paris is one of the most talented human beings I've ever had the pleasure of working with."

Feki's isn't alone in his praise for Paris. "I first met Paris at an intimate gig in Brisbane a couple of years ago (I gave her the mic and she sang), and I've been a fan ever since – should probably make a track with her ASAP before she's too famous," admits Touch Sensitive.

Here, Paris shares five people she'd love to invite over for dinner.

1: Elon Musk

I legitimately find his brain endlessly fascinating; from everything he wants to do with Neurolink, Tesla and further Mars exploration, to the fact that he now has a child with Grimes, who is hands down one of the most fabulously scat human beings on the planet.

2: Terry Crews

I just feel like he is such an iconic gem. Not only furiously talented, but the way he so opening speaks about mental health and his troubled upbringing just smashes all kinds of stupid, toxic parameters that masculinity tends to reside in. He's just bloody brilliant.

3: Cleopatra

Need I say more. A historical icon, ferociously talented, seductress to the gods and just such an interesting character. I'm obsessed with ancient history, so she has always really perplexed and interested me.

4: Joe Rogan

I am obsessed with his podcast, like everyone else on the planet, but just find his perceptions on everything to be very illuminating and introspective.

I like the way his brain works and I want to pick it. He's one of the few people who have mastered using their platform to amplify other important voices while utilising his curiosity to curate a wickedly interesting interview – love his work.

5: Elvis Presley

Once again, surely there's no major explanation needed. A true legend with musical ability that didn't just hone in on one facet of talent, but all around to make him iconic.

From composing, to his vocal expertise, to the way he could move his body, that man just had talent oozing out of his pores, so I would adore nothing more than to get to sit next to him and try and absorb some by osmosis.
