Byron Bay dub-hopping surf outfit Drop Legs have yet another 'ball-slamming' single titled 'Jimi Dubs' en route this Monday.

'Jimi Dubs' is 'one, big, groovy smoothie, filled with bass, drums, riffs and powerful spoken-word'.

Lifted from their forthcoming EP 'Big Fiddies', it was recorded and produced by Eric Cohello (The Strides, Angus & Julia Stone, Havana Meets Kingston) and mastered by Jack The Bear (British India, 1200 techniques), and showcases the growth of the band throughout the past 12 months.

Ahead of a number of SE QLD and Byron Bay shows, the band share some made-up phrases they enjoy adding to every-day conversations. Try 'em for yourself.

"[With] plenty of time together on the road and slightly lit after parties and festival experiences has allowed us to develop unique words and abbreviations that we insert into our conversation.

"It makes the band sounds like a confused flock of seagulls at times but provides solid entertainment or 'ailment' as we say. Please use these on us."

1. Ain

Abbreviation of entertainment. "Yeah I'm a FIFO ainer, I fly in, ain, then fly out." English translation: "Yeah I'm a FIFO entertainer, I fly in, entertain, then fly out."

2. DYLAN!

Said suddenly, excitedly and irritating loud in Arnold Schwarzenegger's voice from 'Commando'). Used when you see a friend regardless of their name or gender, to express excitement about seeing them. Can replace the penis yelling game on a crowded airplane.

3. Me-uhl

The word mental in a heavy British accent, describing something crazy or really great.

4. PLAYAAAA

No sexual connotation or reference to sex life. Said in the same voice as the outdated 'WAAZZUP' call to say when greeting someone excitedly, usually followed by a street-style handshake and bump.

5. Chill-out fascist

Said in a muffled way, out the side of the mouth; saying to someone when their getting worked up or aggressive. "F#$% man, you snore so much ay." "Chill-out fascist."
