It still feels like Perth psych-rock lords Psychedelic Porn Crumpets only came to prominence recently.
But the sneaky buggers have already arrived at album number four, the sensational (if we do say so ourselves) 'SHYGA! The Sunlight Mound' – which is out today.It features 2020 singles 'The Terrors', 'Tally-Ho' and 'Mr Prism' with vintage, guitar-rock influences heavily evident throughout.
"I wanted to evolve on a sound that's always felt playful and inviting, an upbeat mixture of fuzz tones and harmonies that nod towards The Beatles, but punch more like early Kings Of Leon and Nirvana," frontman and songwriter Jack McEwan says.
"A fast-paced, high-intensity record that journeys from warped acoustics, haunting strings, warm Melotron, to heavy guitar riffs that venture through a plethora of styles and forms, while still allowing the listener to breathe and treat the album as a whole piece."
With the album now out in the world, the Porn Crumpets have a bit of extra time on their hands.
Judging by the Top 5 listicle they supplied about invisible dilemmas, they'll be spending that spare time pondering some major (fictional) choices ahead of a run of live shows as the main support act for Ocean Alley's upcoming national August-September tour.

You can go through life normally but can't communicate with anyone ever again, only your accountant."3: Would you rather have the ability to talk in every language by simply removing your tongue and swapping it for a chosen dialect, or control another person's gravity which you can turn off at will.
"The tongues you have to carry round in a bag with you and if you lose one it's gone forever; the gravity one you could send people out into space who annoy you."4: Would you rather only be able to smell skunk piss or sweat mayonnaise?
"This one's pretty self-explanatory."5: Would you rather gain all knowledge of everything that's happened in the past or everything that will happen in the future?
