5 Favourite Simpsons Episodes With Alaina

Brisbane heavy rock act Alaina share their favourite episodes of 'The Simpsons'.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Say hello to Alaina, a new rock band hailing from the outer space of Brisbane.

They are about to release their debut single, 'Rain', with a Brisbane launch show happening tonight (29 June) with Vivvid, Illicit Symphony and Zac Bnjmn on support duties.

Alaina are also massive fans of 'The Simpsons' judging by this listicle they supplied that features their favourite episodes of the iconic television series.

1. '22 Short Films About Springfield'

Because any self-respecting Simpsons top 5 list can't be complete without the meme of the century, steamed hams. With honourable mentions such as Cletus the slack-jawed yokel.

2. 'Homer vs the 18th Amendment'

Because on top of the four of us loving a nice, cold beer, the concept of prohibition irks us to our very core. This episode has an awesome and hilarious take on America's prohibition with Homer in arguably his best career - the Beer Barron.

3. 'Whacking Day'

An episode right out of the Simpson’s golden age, revealing an epic social commentary on mob mentality within the human race. Notable quote: "Slow, then fast."

4. 'Treehouse Of Horror V'

"No TV and no beer make Homer something something." Nuff said.

5. 'Treehouse Of Horror VI'

Because I think we all like to believe that the third dimension is behind our bookshelf. Notable quote: "This feels like that twilighty movie about that zone."

Alaina launch 'Rain' at Tomcat (Brisbane) 29 June.
