5 Favourite Simpsons Episodes Selected By Melbourne Band Smarts

Smarts are an indie punk-rock band from Melbourne.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Still a relatively young band – they first appeared in late 2018 – Melbourne's Smarts recently released their debut album, 'Who Needs Smarts, Anyway?'.

A full-blast of warped pop melodies and oddball rock rhythms married to a punk attitude, Smarts are a sound all of their own.

They'll be bringing their frantic yet taut rhythms and the odd blast of horny sax when they open proceedings at Summer Sounds Festival in Melbourne supporting King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Tropical F... Storm this Friday (26 February).

Before they do, they've shared five of their favourite Simpsons episodes of all time.

Marge vs. The Monorail

"I knew I shouldn't have stopped for that haircut."

Marge On The Lam

"Look at him. He's wearing a belt. That's Hollywood for you."

King-Size Homer

"Mmm, I can feel three kinds of softness."

Radioactive Man

"Cows don't look like cows on camera. You gotta use horses."

Marge In Chains

"I've been starvin' 'em, teasin' 'em, singin' outta key. Me mae ma moe, me moo ma mae."

Smarts open for King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Tropical F... Storm at Summer Sounds Festival at Sidney Myer Music Bowl (Melbourne) 26 February.
