5 Favourite Roads Dan Sultan Enjoys Travelling Along

Dan Sultan
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Fresh off his appearances performing onstage alongside Midnight Oil's Makaratta Project, award-winning singer-songwriter Dan Sultan will play his only NSW headline show of 2021 next week at Sydney's Enmore Theatre.

Set to showcase new material from his fifth studio album, which is slated for release later this year, Sultan will be centre-stage for an evening of stories, reflection and of course song.

After recently releasing a new track, 'Tarred And Feathered', punters can also expect the four-time ARIA Award winner to dip into his back catalogue and dust off a few tunes his ever-loyal fans know and love.

Here, Dan lists some of his favourite roads to travel.

1: Broadway, NYC

I love walking it. South to north, north to south. It's a great way to see an incredible city.

2: Plenty Highway, Central Australia

I once drove from Alice Springs to Mt Isa and spent the night camped out on the Plenty Highway. No moon for three, four hours after sunset and then a massive harvest moon and Mars rising over that beautiful country.

3: Brick Lane, London

Delicious!

4: Kabale-Kisoro Rd, Uganda

This road took me over rivers, deep into valleys and up mountains until we eventually reached Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where I sat with Highland gorillas. Amazing.

5: Home

The road my home is on where my family and I live. Beautiful.

Dan Sultan headlines Enmore Theatre (Sydney) 27 March.
