US based, Australian musician D Henry Fenton has built a prominent career as a singer-songwriter and guitarist since his first band Holly Golightly.
Originally from Sydney, D Henry Fenton is currently stationed out of Los Angeles and is a regular performer across the Southern California region as both a solo act and with his band The Elizabethans.
Though Holly Golightly found some fame when they were asked to open for Irish favourites The Corrs on one of their Australian tours, Fenton is probably best-known for his solo albums, the first of which being 'Autumn Sweet'.
Two albums have followed since, 'Turnin'' in 2012 and 'Twice I Fell Down Once' in 2017, both developing his prowess as a songwriter and guitarist.
With vocals likened to a hybrid of Tom Petty and Roy Orbison, D Henry Fenton has played opening spots for John Mayer, Kasey Chambers, Colbie Caillat, Lissie, Ed Kuepper, Pete Murray, The Corrs, Jeff Lang and Keith Urban, his music blending Americana, folk, blues and indie rock.
Henry returns to Australia to play a short run of dates in July. He has just finished writing and demoing new songs in Los Angeles and will be playing a few of these along with selections from his three previous albums and latest EP 'Howlin' Back' (2018) featuring four classic songs by blues legend Howlin' Wolf.
Here, D Henry Fenton lists his top 5 guitarists of all time, all of who have had a profound impact on his craft.
