Max Flynn, the Aussie via LA artist, has just returned to Australian shores after writing with some new, mega artists.
The enigmatic singer, songwriter and producer is back with his newest single, 'Love You Hard', a three-minute odyssey of understated bliss.
Described by Flynn as a "soundtrack to the difficult kind of love" lyrics like: 'Sometimes I want to run away / Farther than most / Farther than most' will have you re-living that one, teen heartbreak that really cut deep.
With local, live shows in the works Max shares 5 artists he feels are vibing upwards in 2017.
Anna Of The North
Norway's best kept secret, but not for long. Anna and Brady have done some excellent work with their project Anna Of The North. They are about to put out an album/ tour Australia, so I highly recommend you get in early before they blow up. Anna Of The North's music makes me miss Norway even though I've never been there.
Tommy Cash
An Estonia rapper who knows what's up. Hands down some of the best music videos you will ever see. Cash and his creative partners are doing some incredible work. Best Instagram of an artist I've seen.
Sigrid
Also from Norway, this girl is on her way to becoming a household name. Huge, raw power to her voice. To quote someone on YouTube: 'She has better control over her voice than I have over my life.'
Kllo
Great production, great sound. Chloe sounds amazing on all of these tracks. She has a voice that is hauntingly beautiful. Two great EPs locked away. I'm looking forward to their album.
Grace Mitchell
Grace is from the US and has been releasing a stream of quality music over the past few years. She just put out a track 'Cali God'. Check it out. I keep returning to a song she put out a few years ago.
