5 Conspiracy Theories With Brisbane Band Vesper Green

Vesper Green
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

After a year of establishing themselves in the local music scene, Brisbane hard-rock outfit Vesper Green have released their debut single, 'Innocent Illiterate'.

Recorded and mixed at the Burrow Studio, the song packs plenty of heat in both lyrical symbolism and musical undertones.

Ahead of their next Brisbane show, the band share 4 conspiracy theories for you to mull over.

5. Paul McCartney

As musicians, the 'Paul is dead' theory is pretty hard to believe when considering how well he continued to write after The Beatles and how well he plays to this day. However, it does make for some entertaining reading and album cover analysis. Read our our review of Paul McCartney's Brisbane show 9 December.

4. Pearl Harbour

There are claims that the British and US governments both had prior knowledge that an attack by Japanese Imperial forces on Pearl Harbour was imminent, yet did nothing about it so as to push America into the war. While a bit of a stretch, it kind of makes sense when you think about what was at stake.

3. Obama

It's been suggested that during his presidency, former US President Barack Obama was using weaponry to control the weather and distract attention from the White House. Maybe something to do some reading on.

2. Roswell

There's an overwhelming amount of evidence supporting the claim that an extraterrestrial UFO crash landed in the New Mexico desert in 1947. The US Government's subsequent cover up after newspapers began reporting, including changing the story to say it was in fact a military weather ballon, is somewhat suspicious.

The ever-secretive nature of Area 51 only raises more questions.

1. Hadron Collider

It's been said that the Hadron Collider in Switzerland is a machine intended to resurrect the Egyptian god Osiris from another dimension. It's pretty far-fetched and claims regarding it are filled with speculation, but it definitely makes for a good headline.

Vesper Green join Passion Cactus at The Brightside (Brisbane) 15 December.
