5 Career Moments With Sydney Rapper Unchained

Unchained is a hip hop artist from Sydney.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Sydney solo, urban, hip hop artist, Unchained has kept busy even during COVID lockdown adding the finishing touches on his debut album 'Out Of Darkness', of which the first single is 'Stuck'.

Unchained is also looking to assist other creatives with their music ideas. "I am definitely working on new music collaborations and re-establishing Unchained Entertainment, my indie label and management company, to assist other artists with their music journeys.

"Once the COVID Lockdown is finished I am looking forward to putting together showcases around Australia with bands, singers, rappers and other artists."

Here, Unchained shares some career moments that have fuelled his own creative desires.

1: A great moment was the collaboration with Kasper of Crowtown Beats, working on a new style creating 'Stuck'.

'Stuck' signifies that while we feel we can be stuck in a nightmare with all the crazy things that are happening in the world, no matter what we have to keep positive and move forward in life the best we can.

2: Making the song 'Come Around' with legendary USA hip hop artist Chino XL. It was always my dream to work with Chino XL, ever since 1996 admiring his lyrical skills and wordplay. The new remix was made by Russian music producer Rusty for the world to soon hear.

3: Collaborating with Australian hip hop artist NJE and Russian music producer Rusty, making the song 'Pay Attention'.

4: Making the song 'Flawless' with USA hip hop artist SmoothVega from Texas, who has worked with Sinful, Royce Da 5.9 and Chino XL, with Rusty from Russia on the beat production.

5: 'Glide' was a great project and one of my own personal favourite songs with Australian music producer P.R on the beat for music production. Recording in the studio with sound engineer Espa was great and good energy.

I made 'Glide' and the music video just before the first COVID-19 Lockdown, reaching out a positive message to all: "We keep it moving like the wheels on a bike."

The filming was in Sydney, with production by Glenn Thomas of Avene Productions.
